McLaren is touting how the new P1 is so aerodynamic that it has been designed by air. The new hybrid hypercar will offer over 900 horsepower when the gas powered engine is combined with the cars electronic motor. The car is the spiritual successor to the famed McLaren F1 and aims to bring world class performance back to McLaren (not that the Mp4-12C has been a slouch).… Read more
Sometimes there are not really worlds to describe something. That is the case with the latest video that evo has released. The video is simple, no talking or commentary, just three great supercars driving.
The video features a Ferrari 458 Italia, Audi R8 Plus and McLaren MP4-12C. All three cars are driven on some nice curvy roads and the short video captures the sound and feel of driving them.… Read more
McLaren has released a new video for their upcoming McLaren P1. The P1 is a hybrid hypercar that takes performance to the next level. The incredible car is the spiritual successor to the legendary McLaren F1 that put the company on the map.
This video shows how aerodynamics played an important role in the development of the car. Cheating the air is a large part of making a car fast and with their new hypercar air was a major factor in the design process.… Read more
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the great car events of the year. The festival showcases some fantastic classic and historic cars driving like they were meant to be driven. You don’t often get to see so many high performance cars ranging from new supercars to historic race cars in one place and normally they would all be parked to just look at.… Read more
A supercar like the McLaren MP4-12C isn’t normally the type of car you would take to a drag strip. Supercars are fast in a straight line, but most people take their supercars to a road course track to fully enjoy all that their cars can do. But a supercar at a drag strip can put many of the other cars to shame (of course there are also a lot of purpose built drag racers that would show a supercar a thing or two on the drag strip).… Read more

This year’s Geneva Motor Show is one of the best auto shows in recent years. With some incredible supercars from Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren plus many other great cars. For Porsche the 911 GT3 looks to be a great performing car with its 475hp. For Ferrari, the LaFerrari (ok, stop laughing at the name) hybrid is going to have up to 960hp when the gasoline and electronic engines come together.… Read more
One of the big cars to be unveiled today was the McLaren P1. The hybrid supercar has over 900hp available when the electric engine works with the gas powered engine. The car should be able to go well over 200MPH and will help McLaren compete against the Ferrari LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder.
The above video shows the unveiling of the McLaren P1 at the Geneva Motor Show.… Read more
Earlier today I posted that the new Porsche 911 (991) GT3 will debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The new car will only be available with a PDK transmission (for better or worst) that has been redesigned for lightning fast shifting. This new transmission along with a 475hp engine and a 9,000 RPM red-line make for a car that will go 0-60MPH in 3.3 seconds and get from 0-124MPH in just 12 seconds.… Read more
