Chevrolet has confirmed the the 2014 Corvette Stingray will serve as the Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500. That the C7 Corvette would be the Pace Car had been rumored for a while and we now know for sure. The race will be held on May 26th and will be the 97th running of the famed race.… Read more

Ferrari has unveiled the LaFerrari to succeed the Enzo. Chevrolet has also unveiled the Corvette C7 Stingray to replace the current C6 model. Both are great cars in their own way, but money does mean a lot when comparing these cars. This weekend was the running of the Visual Studio Ultimate Grand Prix of Atlanta at the legendary Road Atlanta racing circuit in the Rolex Sports Car Series. The race had a lot of great action in all three classes and kept spectators entertained.

This past weekend was the Porsche 250 at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. The two-hour race was a good one and as always these shorter races are very entertaining. The day was a very good one for Chevrolet in the GT class with the Stevenson Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro and Marsh Racing Chevrolet Corvette finishing first and third in the class.… Read more
Yesterday, Autoblog reported that the Nurburgring is officially for sale. The famed track, including the roller coaster that was closed down, can be yours for just $165-million. A while back when the Nurburgring first filed for bankruptcy I had a post suggesting that Porsche step in to save the Nurburgring.
That post lead to Jalopnik throwing out the idea that perhaps GM should step in a save the Nurburgring.… Read more
You may remember not that long ago that Motor Trend pitted the SRT Viper GTS against the Corvette ZR1 and the ZR1 was the faster of the two on the track (if you haven’t seen the video you can view it here). This video started a huge war of word on Twitter with SRT claiming that the ZR1 had a tire advantage and the driver was a better driver in a Corvette and couldn’t handle the Viper.… Read more
The 12 Hours of Sebring was run this past weekend as was a good one. The race saw some great action with Audi finished 1, 2 overall in the race marking the first time that a hybrid car has won at Sebring (but get used to that as next year Porsche and Ferrari will compete at the top level and they will probably also be using hybrid technology).… Read more
